Coping With My Stress

Good morning from the Philippines MyLot people.
It's a good thing I joined here, it's like taking time to breathe. Sometimes life is too much and you need to do something to take it all off your mind and just relax.
I've been thinking of ways to help me calm down when I am really stressed out. All of us know that if we don't deal with our stress it will get worst and we really are in trouble. What I always do before was just to get outside, take a walk in a wide area such as a paddy field, or by a river. The wind and the sound of the water soothe my inner being if you know what I'm saying. But since we can't go outside for this particular reason, and to avoid stress eating. I sometimes isolate myself in a quiet room, take a quick nap or watch movies like comedies to boost my emotion, sometimes I paint using my old watercolors, clean the room even if it's already neat and clean, and sew some clothes. After 30 mins or more I find myself calm and finding some solutions to my problems. I'm not sure if it's working with everyone else, it's working for me.
What always calms you down when you’re really stressed out and upset?

When I'm stressed I like to go to the beach and have a walk and see the waves, the seagulls, the seaweed, etc. I lived near the beach, approximately 20min walk,

@YesItsQueen Yeah, it's very good to see the sea every day from our window.

I do that sometimes as well. We are stronger than we think, but there are some times that we can't take it any longer. Good to have you here kabayan!

Well I understand this too.
Usually I did like you..walking out in nature and it worked but this year I had been not so energetic due to immense stress. Glad you are here to write about it.
Now sometimes I will either come to myLot, or watch a movie to take my mind off.
I hope your stress get better.
Have a good day and welcome to myLot.

Thank you, MyLot is really a great way to spend time without even thinking of your problem. I should have found it a little sooner. But anyways, stay safe and strong and may God give you comfort always.

Watching videos at home , pressing the stress ball , sitting for a while , a quiet place and a soft sofa can relieve my stress :)

There are things that we can share with others, but sometimes we feel that we can't share it all, and I don't want them to worry as well so I keep it to myself.

Sometimes, I watch some comedies and it helps, other times I realize I need to do some physical activity to help me surpass the moment, so I walk
Walking in nature is a beautiful way to relieve stress as well as doing some house chores.
