Giveaways or souvenirs as token is common in occasions such as wedding, birthdays, anniversaries and a the likes. One of my friend who got married several years ago choose mini cakes and key holder as giveaways for her wedding. I enjoyed the mini cake

(haha) I guess handmade giveaways are the cutest (maybe because the giver made it her/himself). Presently, I am helping my sister in law preparing her daughter's wedding giveaways

I found online friends here in Mylot turned into real-life friends

@LadyDuck I made that paper bag for the plant. I've also made several giveaways before such as paper swan, paper basket and key holders.

Usually the bride gives a gift to her bridesmaids and maid of honor. Sometimes little gifts are given to each person attending the wedding; but this is very expensive to do.

@LindaOHio Yes my dear, it's a bit expensive giving little gifts of appreciation to bridesmaids, maid of honor , guests and principal sponsors. But, it's worth for the occasion anyway

Back in the days, wedding favors for Malay wedding would be boiled eggs. The reason was because the egg symbolized having a child. It's also like wishing the couple would be bless with children. Nowadays, people would give snacks, candies and souvenir. I hardly received boiled egg anymore.
