No it should be a equally thing. Dad should always back up mom and mom should back up dad. If you do not agree with what the other one has said then it should be voice later and not in front of the kids. My husband and I never disagree about displine infront of the children. But we can usely tell by the look in the others face when we don't agree with each other.

No, they need to work together so kids listen to both parents.

No they should discipline as team and keep consitant. Kids know how to play one parent against the other when they discipline differently.

I think you have to work together, if one over rules the other than the child will think one parent is better than the other.
