As We Get Older

I just saw a picture of me and my friends way back in high school. We were so happy back then, we laugh for a little reason, it's like being happy is so easy to do. I did a lot of good and bad things with them, not totally bad. We skip classes sometimes, we made sure we get back to those who bullied one of us, and sometimes we had little fights that don't last long.
As we get older, each of us became so very busy with our lives and causes us to not have fun as much as we do like before. Right now we don't hang out that much, we rarely have a conversation but when we do it was fun and we get to keep in touch and discuss the things that happen in our life, and some of them are having too many responsibilities to handle.
Let's face it, there are more important things that we should prioritize, right? Family, work, career, money, love life, so even if you want to be with your friends always like before, you can't because you have a busy schedule, you have bills to pay, and you have a family to take care of. It's never gonna end, and yes you will have a little time that is available, but you will rather give it to yourself to relax and it's like a reset button for yourself to start over again.
Sometimes it makes me sad and sometimes I wish of getting back to those times. Good thing I have good memories of them being stored both in pictures and in my heart. Seeing those pictures again, just made me smile and I once said to myself, I really miss those idiots.

Thanks for making me remember the high school years! And they were, indeed just as you said: we used to laugh a lot for little reason, everything seemed interesting and funny. And we did skip a few classes and felt guilty at the thought that the parents would find out :))) and at the same time, we were serious in our studies.
It's a shame that nowadays we are just serious... somehow, that playfulness got lost in time.. :(

Yeah, life does tear people apart sometimes. Sometimes you remain friends and stay in touch, but that's not always the case. Good luck.

Memories are priceless. Yes our lives get busy but we can always try to keep in touch if possible.
I am glad you had the good memories.

Indeed, sometimes we are being reminded of the memories we built with our friends.

I know how you feel looking back at our past and living in the present as adults working on assisting our relatives get a great life.

Past is always nice to remember. I too have my school day pictures and my sons are able to recognize me in those photographs. Yes, as we get older we get loaded with responsibilities but still I am in touch with my school friends on Facebook and we have also met sometimes. We have a made a group on Facebook.

I hated school because I was bullied a lot. I don't keep in touch with any friends from school. I didn't have many.

I'm still a student and me and my friends do all silly things together.
The way you have put the reality of life is impressive.
I hope your friendship with your besties stay unaffected
