Did you ever have one of those days when it seemed like everything took twice as long as it needed to? I was meeting with someone today for a study which was at the UVA hospital complex which happens to be located on the campus. I did not really have the greatest directions and I had not been to that side of the hospital complex before. I wasn't even sure I was in the right place. I mean there were general signs but nothing specific on the building. The worst part was that the woman was not answering the phone!. Fortunately, someone else who worked in the building who had some familiarity was able to walk me around until we found her. She sort of apoligized saying her calls weren't being forwarded. So, we didn't get started until half an hour past the time we should have.
Then, of course my app wasn't really working in SAMS club and I had to go to membership. Finally that gets straightened out. Then, on the way back after a stop at Wally World..I decided to take a way home that I don't usually take since it is supposedly faster..well, anyway, the bridge was out and I had to drive 10 miles around... I hate when these things happen, as they don't tell you anything here until you are right on top of them.
I could have been home at least an hour sooner. Murphy's Law, but at least I got my gift cards.

Seems like these things happen in threes, don't they?
Glad you got home in the end, though

I am always grateful to get back here after a long trip, and will often say a prayer of gratitude.

@snowy22315 I can not say as I blame you. Lots of things can go wrong during longer errands or trips, an well it's just good to be home.

Yes, most of my days turn out that way. Many things to do, not enough time, and silly things happening which keep me from achieving my plans.
I've had the directions issue many times in trying to find a new place. Or trying to avoid traffic. Also picking the quickest checkout line in a store

Yeah, that checkout thing is usually a conumdrum. I seem to always be checking out just when everyone in the store has decided to go to the registers..

I couldn't believe that piece of it! Then when they close bridges around here they are closed for like ever...the road projects seem never ending. There was one out here that lasted about a year and a half and it was on one of the main routes I take back from one of the bigger towns..

@snowy22315 They are not a lot faster here. There are road works on the main road leading to the lakes that started 9 months ago. It is a pain to go there.

Thanks, it was and I left one thing out I wasn't paying attention in the city and made a wrong turn and had to wait for the light again..so I could get back on the road and might the right turn..
