I am the missing child

That's how I felt. Wait, I think it's more like I'm the stepdaughter that my new mom doesn't notice...
Since I changed department, I thought my new boss would instantly listed my name into her mailing list. She must've forgotten about me...
Today's Covid test was an example of it. I didn't remove my previous team chatroom yet so I still received notifications in there. But I didn't tell my boss that.
It's a good thing I never remove it or I wouldn't know which slot my name was in. This morning I pretended not to know a thing and message my boss, asking about my slot. She asked whether I got the email and I told her I never received any email regarding it. Then I messaged a friend in the new department, asking the same thing and told her I never got the email. She forwarded the email to me.
I think we need to work on our communication skill. Or I would just step up and ask HR to include my name into the main mailing list myself.

It sounds like management there is so busy trying to keep the business running with the staff all over the place that they just... sort of ... mislaid you for the moment. Give them a chance... maybe they'll get everything up to normal standards soon...
I am sorry you feel like the red-headed stepchild, though.

@DaddyEvil then I would need to do the test myself with my own pocket money. We still have communicating issue.

@prinzcy The thing is, subtle may not be a thing your new boss understands. What would have happened if you hadn't gone in your time slot this morning for the test?

Oh I hate it when that kind of mysterious happens. You are wise on how you handle this Lilie.
