Monday started on the right track!
Just got off the phone and officially received a job offer. I had it signed and emailed it back to the recrutiment specialist. This is in sales but more involved in enrolling potential clients into a company's rewards program. I had my final interview last Friday and got word that I passed just this afternoon.
There were hiccups for this one as initially, the program stopped getting new people in but then I got a call again from them and said they will resume accepting applicants again. I took the opportunity and asked to be scheduled for a final interview. Glad I was able to make it.
This one doesn't meet some of the parameters I set for accepting a new job but it is a fresh start and has lots of opportunites and potential for growth. At this time, it is a fresh start that I badly want to have.
I plan to turn in my resignation today once I end my shift which is 6:00pm Manila time. I know, it is unprofessional but people get what they give. If they were professional people in the first place, I wouldn't be looking for new work. This is a long time coming, I had wanted to leave the place since November last year when i saw how they mishandled everything when we had a CoViD-19 scare at work and everyone who reported to work at the office during that time were asked to isolate themselves and got no assistance whatsoever from the company. We were left on our own.
Anyway, here's a cake. Feel free to have a sice or two.

Congratulations! That's the right thing to do. It's terrible that your current employer was not considerate about covid scare. Wishing you all the luck for this new endeavor

Thank you very much.
It was one of the biggest things that made me consider leaving the company in the first place. I would have left sooner but wasn't able to get new work back then.

@allen0187 Quite understandable. We need to have an opportunity at hand before quitting our job. I am happy that you are out of the place and hope the new job is up to your expectations.

I slept well last night and I woke up refreshed. It is already starting to do me good.
I did however, did not notice that my resignation letter yesterday wasn't successfully sent so I had to resend it today. Made a post about it.

@allen0187 When you are unhappy with a job it is such a relief to quit and find a new one.

I feel you.. Work environment is one of the factors why employees resign.. Aside from that, the company should atleast provide something for you during isolation period

Work environment wasn't good in the first place. Plus, how they treated their employees during the pandemic didn't sit well with me.

@Hanbinandaeyo I signed a job offer already. Signed two, ditched the first one and sticking to my first choice. It took awhile before they sent me the job offer but I completed it and I start next Tuesday, October 5th.

I'm moving from and moving away from a less than ideal workplace. That in itself is a big win!

I totally agree with you, sometime putting in a resignation is not such a bad idea especially when the job is not at all what .you expected. It is always better to make yourself a priority.

Yes, making one self as a priority is not being selfish.
It is called self-love.
