I am always look for ways to make storage easier as the house we are now in is so much smaller than the one we came from. I ordered some little gadgets recently which enable me to store clothes more easily. The items are small plastic things that hang off one coat-hanger and allow you to place a second coat-hanger on the first so you are storing two items in almost the same space as one. Hopefully, you can see how they work from the photo. They came in a pack of six and were very reasonably priced.

@LadyDuck These are quite solid. I don't think they'll break easily.

I've seen those before, and in a similar vein I have a few hangers for skirts/trousers/things you can hang over a bar which take more than one garment. Yes they do save space on the rail, but of course the clothes themselves still take up more space than just one garment.

The other thing is that the second one hangs lower. They work better with Vinces' shirts as they seem to be a bit shorter than most of mine.

They are quite good really although the second shirt hangs lower so that might be an issue depending on how much room you have.

I am more fascinated with the hook where the hanger is hanging. Is that hook inside the cupboard?

I couldn't take a photo within the cupboard. As JJ says, it's a door handle.

It works quite well as long as you have a long enough space as the bottom garment hangs quite a bit lower.

You have to find out some ways to fit in your things when you shift to a smaller house than the one you lived in. Whenever I have to stay with my sons in any city where they have their jobs we always take a house that is smaller than ours and find out small gadgets to store things.

Something like that would come in very handy. Where did you get the little hang on tabs? I am tired of always buying hangers for my "collection."

@JudyEv I saw some online people made from soda can tabs. You had to use those with wire hangers which people don't really use anymore. She said with plastic hangers you can use soup can lids or dog food lids for the tab effect.

@snowy22315 That's not a bad idea but some of those lids can be pretty sharp. For the few cents that these cost, I'd rather spend the money.

If this was too much longer, the clothes would hang down too long. It is really only useful for the shorter tops.

@JudyEv I have some that can accommodate five sarees in the space of one. That's quite smart way to have more in less space. I was very excited when I saw them first time in the store.
