Today, I kept the children of my foster family quiet and happy for an hour. I showed them Tom and Jerry, and some local rhymes. Children of this age are lucky. There were only English and Japanese cartoons on the T V until some years ago. But now, many cartoon movies are available at the touch of finger tips.

My grandchildren all have liked cartoons although each generation has its favorites. I loved Tom and Jerry and the poor cat Silvester pothered by Tweety, the canary.

Yes, my daughter loves to play OMORI. She memorised all the characters in there. When in fact, I don't find it good-looking in my eyes. LOL

It is good that we have more local characters these days in cartoons and children can relate more to them. I often get cases for counseling where children are addicted to TV and cartoons. So, there has to be a limit set there.
