Job Update - Tendered My Resignation

... last night or so I thought.
Turned out that it was still in my draft folder in my office email. So when I mentioned it to my colleagues over at our WhatsApp group and they in turn mentioend it to the managers, the managers didn't have a clue.
Good thing I checked my office email and I was surprised about this. Can't believe that I will even mess up my own resignation. Anyway, that is over and done with. Now, I'm getting messages from colleagues and other managers. Most messages are wishing me luck and thanking me. Messages from managers are an altogether different thing - guilt laden messages that are asking me to go back. Not going to happen.
Anyway, I'll be doing errands and will be back here in the site later in the day.
Do you have any funny resignation stories? Please share it here.
Here is my post about my new job offer,
Monday started on the right track! Just got off the phone and officially received a job offer. I had it signed and emailed it back to the recrutiment...

You successfully quit! YAY!
I'm sure the managers are asking you to come back... Tell them you'd be happy to for $1M.

One manager actually tod me over the phone that another manager is etremely sad with my departure. GTFO of here!
For a $1M cash upfront, I'll come back but still resign next week!

@DaddyEvil obviously, they want me there until they find another person to replace me. Plus, you know how managers feel superior over their subordinates and want to be always in control, I guess me leaving and throwing them in a loop challenged that and they want to get a semblance of control.
I care enough to say goodbye to my previous team mates. Of course, they did not believe me initially until they checked with the other managers but it is what it is.

So am I. Otherwise, I would have been still stuck there.
True, nothing to be guilty about. Can't believe I put up with them for such a long time.

@allen0187 There's a time when enough is enough. You reached that point and a job fell into your lap.

It was back in 2012. I had my resignation planned already but have not informed my manager. I applied to another company and got hired after that. Then when I got back, my manager told me that he got a call from the other company asking him about me. Lol.
Congratulations on your new job!
