Do you like desserts?

I am a dessert lover and think it is the best part of the meal. Sometimes I will even skip a meal and just have dessert. They aren't good for you generally, as the sugar causes inflammation, and or weight gain but just a fan what can I say? If you eat desserts, what are your favorites? A couple of days ago, I had a mini fruit tart..that was awesome. And a restaurant near here that has fabulous desserts just posted a pic of their pastry chef filling cannolis. I gave them a plug. That place has the best desserts I have ever had, other than maybe my mother's chocolate layer cake, or a carrot cake homemade I had once.

I really adore deserts but sadly they are out of the question for me at this time unless it is vegan

They do have plenty of vegan desserts. You can get a vegan cookie at Whole Foods for 1.50. They used to be a dollar but that is inflation for ya!

@snowy22315 Yes I could if I didnt have to take 3 buses to get there. And to get just that cookie delivered would be too much.

Generally I'm not into sweets. I will have creme brulee, cheesecake, tartufo, or cannoli. Oh I'm a sucker for ice cream cake too. Aside from those, though, I'll take a pass.

@snowy22315 Tartufo is a round ice cream thing that is half vanilla ice cream/half chocolate with slivered almonds and a cherry in the center and it is covered in solid chocolate coating.

I do like desserts. There are times when something looks delicious but disappoints, though! Yesterday, I had some chocolate gateau and some chocolate fudge cake (it was my parents' anniversary). I had been so good eating well and healthily all day, and then my mum offers me the chocolate gateau - which is one of my favourites! As much as I love desserts - gateau, ice-cream, sorbet, cheesecake, crème brulee, etc. - I also like to be skinny, so I have a recipe book with some low fat/low sugar desserts. I've made a few. Some turned out quite delicious. One was lovely the first time but I must have done something wrong when I tried it again.

I will eat a small piece of cheesecake, pumpkin pie or a donut. Other desserts, I don't actually care for them. Most desserts taste too sweet to me, I'm not fond of sweets any more.

@aninditasen Pizza and dessert yummy. I am not really sure if I am going to have dessert today, but I may eat a popsicle. They only have about 60 calories each. Posicles are an entertaining food.

I now like more salty things than sweet. I stopped eating sweets many years ago as my husband had diabetes and did not want to temp him. Later I discovered that I had lost part of the interest in them

When I eat out, I always read the dessert menu before deciding on my main course. If the desserts look good, I'll sometimes just have an entree.

All so delicious!! I too like dessert. Cookies, candies, trying to eat more fruits for dessert. Once in a while pastries too. I was going to get a coconut chiffon cake, for my birthday, but sugar too much.

I go for vegan sugar free desserts. I have learnt to make few of them as a part of my journey as a diabetic. At times I add dairy products there.

Somebody posted some delicious looking vegan desserts on here. I think most took maple syrup but you could probably use sugar free syrup in place.
