The Trick That Got Me Motivated / myLot

I've struggled with getting things done and most of the time I get lazy. Somehow, I was just browsing on Pinterest and I had an aha moment. I could use 2 dice to decide what to do with my time. I would label which numbers are associated with the important task. For example, create art, do chores, exercise, and etc. Then I would roll the dice; whichever numbers I get, I do the task without hesitation. I can't believe this game worked for me perfectly. No more unproductive days. How do you motivate yourself to do the things you don't want? Photo Credit: Pixabay

I use the train of though that "I owe so off to work I have to go."

The necessities life can't be avoided. Good thing I don't owe anything but I can only use time to my advantage.

Try to get a routine and schedule going. I don't keep it rigid, as I know I have to be flexible. Like, when I run the dish waasher that's when I clean out the microwave. I do laundry twice a week. That kind of thing.

I did try having a routine and schedule but it was difficult for me. Of course being flexible is important. I try to make my task into a game so it's more fun so I'm able to accomplish more.

I can’t be motivated when i don’t feel like it. I must enjoy something to make me want to do it. Or if not enjoy, then it’s something that has to be done with urgency.
