Online Earnings ~ Not Too Shabby

While teaching I had been sent a school email for a survey to take on my classroom computer. I completed it after school when I had the time and received $30! So easy and surprising and my first survey ever!
When summer vacation came, I joined several sites and began recording all the money I earned, gift cards, and free products.
I’ve given that up several years ago, because hubs doesn’t like me spending so much time online earning what he calls “nothing” and was willing to give me the money instead
Keep in mind that I only do myLot now, half of which goes to our favorite charity (hubs adds to it) and once in a blue moon I do sponsored surveys on Toluna. It goes into my special savings account.
Grand total after 14 years as of August ~ $39,918.56 not counting the $6500+ for hub’s surprise birthday party I withdrew.
I just leave it my account. What do you do with your online earnings?

Just do not earn more than $600 from any one site.

Our online earnings go for different things. What I earn from editing manuscripts goes into my checkbook to use for monthly bills. What I earn from myLot is left in PayPal until Pretty wants the money for something... then she wipes it out and spends it. I don't bother asking what she used it for...

That's some impressive online earning. I'm lucky to earn $10 in a year. I like to use sites that use PayPal so I can then use that towards gifts or Ubers or sending money to my son. Other sites, the cash just sort of gets mixed up with everything else. There's one I'm doing now - not a survey site but a site that pays you to play games - it doesn't pay much but I'm saving my points to get a gift card for a sports shop so I can buy myself some archery equipment.

@Fleura It's something I've had an interest in for a long time, and done the occasional fun day, but I decided to join a club this year. I'd done a beginner's course in 2019 with the intention of joining the club. Unfortunately, it couldn't happen then but I've now become a member of my local club. It's only a short walk away. I've been going for a few months now, but don't get chance to go as regularly as I'd like. There are a lot of members. It's rare that there are many people there at one time, although the field seemed almost crowded last weekend!
It is a lot of fun. I'm using one of the club bows - a lightweight recurve bow - but most members have their own equipment. Most have a recurve or a compound bow, but there are one or two who use crossbows. There are opportunities to take part in competitions but I'm not good enough yet. There's also barebow and clout shooting. The clout shooting is fun but the club bow isn't powerful enough for it as you have to shoot much further than standard target archery.

Are you an archer? Or starting out? Archery was something I took up at university but haven't done since, but I keep thinking I might try again. There is a club not far away and Little One has expressed interest in giving it a go as well.

@pumpkinjam Maybe I should pluck up my courage too and go and ask about joining! I don't have any of my own equipment either. But perhaps you will inspire me to get out there!

Wow--that is quite a lot! We give to my favorite charities regularly throughout the year. My pittance earned online is my yarn money. My husband thinks I have a yarn addiction. He may be right. I love how it feels in my hands as I work it--and unfortunately for me, I love the more expensive yarns--

I will make a detailed post on how much I have made till date. I usually reinvest the amount I earn. Planning to invest the complete amount on cryptocurrency.
39 918 is a good amount from online earnings.

Good for you!
I keep my online earnings until the end of the year and withdraw it and either invest it or get myself a nice gift.

I'd be glad if I could earn that amount online....now even more depressed lol! I spend the money I make on diamond paintings usually because it's not enough for much else.

@DianneN I just wish I could find work online that could actually make me a living. Sadly that don't seem to be thing. At least for a person with no skills.

It can add up in time if you put forth a little effort. That's how I do it. Of course hubs may have a something to say about all of it.

The money earned online gets to my bank as India does not let our money to stay at paypal and so would not know how much that would be. But most is spent for those parties I put up for kids.

My husband thinks the same way about online earnings. He sees it as a waste of time. I haven't earned much in mylot so haven't touched that. I do plan to give them away to a particular person by the end of the year. Someone from mylot.
