Crazy Dreams

I've noticed that the older I get the crazier my dreams get, and when I first wake up they seem so real.
I want to dream about sitting on a beach under an umbrella or on a sailboat, but no they are drama filled, and sometimes when I wake up, I feel that I have watched a movie in my sleep.
The funniest part is how easily I believe all the nonsense going on during the dream. Anything and everything just seems normal to me until I wake up and think What?
Do you have crazy dreams?

@misunderstood_zombie Once I'm awake, I never remember them.

@just4him This is good. After a couple of hours I forget a lot of my dreams also.

It seems that way for me too. I wish I could have the flying dream more, that one is fun!

After reading your comment, I remembered that I had a flying dream a couple of years ago, and I felt as if it was right at my fingertips to grasp when I was awake, but it wasn't and I had deal with the fact that I can't fly.

I have always had crazy dreams since I was a kid. And the thing is I often remember them as soon as I wake up.

Me too. I've always had crazy dreams as a kid, but now they seem to take off to a new level.

I never have crazy dreams. They all have some coherence to them. Usually, they link some aspect of my past to my now.
I used to work in an office, so a lot of my dreams are set in that environment still.
Not long ago, I dreamed that I was at work in an office, and there was not much work to do, so I was preparing some notes about formal committee meetings, of the procedural ways of handling/running them, in the best ways.
To me, this simply meant that when I am bored with life, or my life, I should look over the rituals, and procedural happenings, in my life, and see if I can add something new to them.
I should try to spice up my daily life more, instead of just sticking to the same old routines.

Wow, you really know your dreams. I always dream about my last job, but I will never actually do the work. I keep messing around and the whole time I'm terrified I'm going to get fired.

@misunderstood_zombie Yes, our jobs must be a big part of our lives.
After I left my 20 years office job, I bought and run a second-hand bookshop for about 5 years, or so, then.
I often dream that I am back now again, in my shop, running it, but with Covid restrictions here, my shop would have been currently closed.
(Sometimes, I dream that a man comes to my house to buy books from me too, usually of a certain type, such as books on wars.)
Dreams connect us to our past to a time where we were happy sometimes, as here in my bookshop dreams.
I was happy running my shop, and this dream shows me that I would still like to be so happy now in my work now too, but I am not happy with what I do now, and so the war books in my dream shows me that I am at "war" with myself now, in my life.
