I always try to support family and friends who sell stuff online. So when a friend posted the picture above on FB, I immediately sent her a message and asked if she still has something left for me. I ordered a little of everything and her son delivered it to my house. He's only 9 but he's already helping his mom. (She is a single mom with four kids.) Her fried banana recipes are always a treat. And very affordable too at 5 peso each. What would you eat from the photo?

I don't know what any of it is, so wouldn't know what I'd like. It all looks good but I know some of it will probably be things I won't eat...

I like to eat the banana cue, camote cue, banana turon, pinaypay nga saging - all of those :) One thing though - I do not want to eat banana cue in which the banana is already very ripe. Lately, we've been buying "syakoy" at a bakery at Robinsons whenever we go there.

I would surely try the banana, I do not know what it is in the photo, I would eat anything that is no pork meat.

@LadyDuck what kind of bananas?

No pork Anna. They use the sweet plantain variety for this delicacy. One is wrapped like spring rolls but with slices of banana and jack fruit, one is sliced like five fingers then dipped in batter and fried, one is simply sweet plantain fried then sprinkled with sugar. There was also fried sweet potato in the picture.

I love banana cues too. I have an aunt who cooks them for a living and it is not an easy thing to do. The oil has to be super hot and she would always get blisters. Painful
