Snow Already?

I thought I was hearing things. But the National Weather Service office in Boise reported that we received a mere dusting on roadways and hillsides around the area with 2 1/2 inches actually accumulating at Bogus Basin yesterday(Tuesday). McCall received a dusting and several other higher elevations around the area. The earliest we have received any snow around here is August 24, 1992. I personally recall looking out my office window back in the late '70s and seeing snow in the month of July.
Any snow yet where you live?

No snow or no rain here. I hope we do not get any snow here at all this year.

No, not in Hawaii, unless you're way up in the Big Island's Mauna Loa or Maunakea or Maui's mountain Haleakala.
Where I live, never snows. You may have heard in news today, Kilauea us errupting.
How beautiful it must look where you live!

We are around latitudes 29 and at hardly 230 M or so above sea level. So no snow here although December January can be near freezing.
If you are getting early snow, then the November to February would be terribly cold for you?
Just stay warm and safe!

It's still summer weather here. I can remember it snowing in September years ago. (It was my step-daughter's birthday. She wasn't happy to get the gift of snow. )

@celticeagle The last two days it's been 88F here by noon. Our mornings are around 65F, which is what they've been most of the summer.

No, and we are unlikely to see any until at least December. Some winters we have none. February tends to be the snowiest month around here.

@sallypup ........Yes, you could. I love a homegrown tomato. The ones in the store are tough and just citrusy and that's it.

@celticeagle I have not picked anything from the tomato plant yet. There are four little tomatoes on it and tons of blooms. Night time temps are not freezing yet. I have hopes. I guess I could haul it into the house if daytime is warm and night isn't.

I don't think I could live in that area. I enjoy the four seasons too much.

It snows a few times every winter here, but it's autumn, so it only rains, not snow
