Here I am, out looking at covered bridges and everything, and I don’t even bother giving y’all another bridge song! I’ll pull double duty today, with this bonus tune that has “bridge” in the title.
BONUS: Bridge of Sighs - Robin Trower
You see, being a music geek, I understand things that I don’t like (except rap….I don’t understand rap! ). I have never been overly fond of this song; however, its place in 70s AOR/FM rock history cannot be understated.
If you’ve heard of Robin Trower, it’s probably because of this song (or “Too Rolling Stoned”). Back in the old days this got played on FM rock radio quite a bit, and those were the days when they didn’t play the same two songs by the same artist. But this was the go-to album for the former Procol Harum guitarist, and probably remains his best-known album.
If you’re wondering, the Bridge of Sighs is in Venice; however, Trower said the title came from the name of a racehorse!

Many songs and arts are inspired by the unexpected and from places one would never think of.

@myklj999 — maybe I should change my profile picture to a sign that says “Newbies stay away!”
