What a stupid thing to do

We were at the Universal Studio in Los Angeles and there these characters were seen roaming - not those who actually act in films.
Everyone was posing with them and I did too Looking back I now feel what made me do that.
Have you done anything stupid and then regretted?

What was wrong with posing with interesting characters? I'm sure everyone in the US has done that at one time or another. (Pretty did it a lot when she was younger. I always took pictures, so don't have any of me posing with them.)

@DaddyEvil I also have a photo me kneeling down and touching the walk of fame tile dedicated to Julie Andrews on a road in Los Angeles. Is this also not stupid? (lol)

@allknowing But they were interesting characters, right? What did it matter if they were "fake" or not?

It isn't stupid to pose for a photo with something. I posed for a photo at our school meeting with only my head resting on a cardboard lady without head and our school uniform.

That's not stupid. Actually we do it because it creates memories for that place. And when you visit Universal Studios and Disney World, you pose with them to get a memory picture later. I have posed with them and the wax statues when we visited wax museum.
