Raj was watching a cricket match from Dubai when I went to get my fix for today. He has already taught me a lot about cricket. A "home run" is six runs. A hit to the wall is four runs. And so on.
Today I asked about the social aspect of cricket matches. In the US, people get drunk and stupid at baseball and football games. Do they do so at cricket matches?
He told me that in places like India (and Dubai), alcohol is not sold at cricket matches. But in the UK, it is.
He also told me that there are many booths at cricket matches where you can buy food, soda, tea, etc. The prices are not a "rip off" as they are here in the US.
I'm going to try to keep learning more about cricket. Do you have "odd" areas in which you continue to acquire new knowledge?
Photo is of my glove and a baseball I caught during batting practice at an American baseball game.

@BarBaraPrz Right now it's just itchy I need a shower. I had one earlier in October, but I can't remember when.

There are some similarities between cricket and baseball, but a lot of differences as well.

@Fleura
You are talking about the days of Raj or the colonial times when Cantonment folks or officers used to play and had "High Tea" in the end?
Have you seen Lagaan?

Great that you gained more knowledge of cricket. As Prez of India, that is really helpful !!
If more interested, you can watch Lagaan movie on Netflix :

I've heard about cricket but I don't have any idea how you play the sport.
