I just finished watching this great limited series on Netflix. Such a good story. This young flees her abusive husband and then has to figure out what she and her daughter, Maddy, are going to do. She navigates social services and jumps through the hoops of finding funding for a place to live. Unforgettable characters, wonderful storyline, great actors. I spent ten hours watching this. It was much like what happened to me except the gal didn't have her significant other fire a rifle at her. If you have Netflix ya gotta look it up.

You too? I finished watching it last week. And i do love the story a lot. I couldn’t stop watching it from episode one.
I’m sorry what happened to you. Domestic abuse can either be physical, emotional, or psychological. And no matter what that is, that is really traumatic and the victims need all the help they could get to get over the trauma.

It is hard to make it on your own when you are a women with a child. I will have to look for that movie.
