One of the things my 9 year old has to do as a scout and misses doing last weekend was help build a fire. It was suppose to be done in the camp out but since he at home finishing out his quarantine. So tonight was a good night for him to help build a fire in the fire pit. He was supervised the whole time by my husband. He wasn’t doing it with nobody watching.

It's good that you have the tools to allow him to do things like that at home. While he might've missed the camp out, he's still able to do those same things. With the support of his family.

He was offered to go with another group to do a camp out but don’t know if we will be able to get him there or not right now. Plus his little brother wouldn’t be able to go to that one.

@ShyBear88 I'm sure if it's meant to be, it will be. It was kind of him to get an offer though.

@kaylachan it’s just him and one other boy in his rank so the boys above them also don’t have as many boys this year so they offered to let them tag along if they want to.
