News depress me. Marches and deaths.

We are nearing elections here. And there are people (elected by us) who are writing a new constitution as the one we have was written during the dictator´s Pinochet´s time. And although it has been changed a lot, it will always be one not many will accept.
But so many people have discovered now that the only way to have things changed is to go out and march for what they think is correct. And among them there is always a group (probably alien to them) who fill backpacks with stones and throw them either to the people who march or/and to cops. And there are always victims.
Today a 43 year old woman died. There will be an inquest to try to discover culprits. But I don´t think that that can be done. And anyway the person is dead and that´s final
I wish there were peaceful ways of solving things. Elections should be peaceful but they aren´t. And I can´t blame them anyway. There is too much injustice and corruption in the world.

I listen very little to the news it's very distressing. I do quickly look through the latest news stories very day just to be sure nothing is coming to fall on my head

It seems lately that all sort of things are about to fall on mine. I haven´t been able to get a male helper to put the dishwasher in the kitchen or a maid to vaccuum once in a while.

Elections are now a sort of civil war, as I see it.

History is littered with the bodies of people trying to fix one injustice or another.
Two important reasons why it isn't going to work is:
1 John 5:19 ' ....the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one'
Jeremiah 10:23 '....It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step.'
Many people say they want things fixed but they keep turning to the wrong solution.

@marguicha that's the thing, I didn't come up with the solution, so its not 'mine'
but, as they say, the definition of insanity is repeating old behaviour and expecting a different result

@marguicha Money and power are the two ugliest things in the world. Most of the people fight because of them only.

There is no justification for using violence to achieve your goals. Inevitably innocent people die who voice their opinions in a peaceful way.

It is very sad for sure. I worry about elections in the US in the future as well.

I am so sorry to hear about the woman that was killed. Unfortunately there are always a few bad people in the bunch.

All politicians are same. They are just looking for their particular interest, not general interest
