Someday! It’s like tomorrow, it never comes. Ah, but it’ll be around for the next ten songs here as I count down favorites with someday in the title. Let’s get started where I always start…country music! #10: Someday We’ll Look Back - Merle Haggard I can’t be that unpredictable, y’know. And, for all you “country lovers” (the ones who throw up at the mention of country music), there’s more coming. Meanwhile, here’s The Hag, and one of his relatively early (1971) career songs. And wow, it had nothing to do with prisons! They called him “the poet of the common man,” and this song about enduring the hard times for the promise of a better tomorrow is right up the alley of the middle class. Enjoy this classic.
