Hi guys,
Hope you all are doing good. I am doing good too. Festival season has started in India from Navratri to Dussehra to Eid and finally diwali too will come in few days.
Diwali is a big festival celebrated by Hindus in India. It's a festival of lights. People do prayers, light diyas and firecrackers.
It's very famous for its savoury snacks made during these days in all homes. Priorly, women of households use to prepare these snacks at home but now due to busy life, people order it from outside too.
The savoury snacks of diwali are Mathiya, Chaurafadi, Ghugra or Gujiya. The first two are spicy snacks. Mathiya's taste and texture is like a Papad and it's little spicy plus crunchy.
Chaurafadi is a spicy snack too and it tastes like chips we can say but the texture is very different. It's very light and flaky.
Ghugra or Gujiya is a traditional sweet snack which is made from Semolina. It's stuffing is of coconut and cardamom. It's shape is like a half moon. It's a very yummy snack enjoyed by all.
Hope you found this information interesting. Have a good day. Take care!!!
