My 10 year is so far cleared on her rapid covid test. Like we thought she would be. Just a cold, but of course the school can not take a parents word for it. Don’t blame I wouldn’t trust half of the parents either. So waiting on her big test the PCR which is the COVID test that can take up to 48hr usually it’s like 24hours or less. My husband put both in this morning when he got to work. He brought home both the rapid and PCR to do on her before he went to work and drop off at the lab in the office.
Once he gets back her PCR he’ll send the results of her report to the school nurse so she can get back to school. Hopefully Friday so she can go to the school even in the evening. I gave her some day time cold meds today. She just had a congested which is why her head hurt.

She has been sick since the weekend colds don’t blow over in 2 days. They usually last about 7 days but she has no never just congestion. Same as her little brother but she got sent home early yesterday since her head was hurting. We got some cold meds to help clear it out.

I am sure she will be ok. By now my 8 year old boy has avoided any situation when we would had to test him but at the moment we have online school.
He was online almost all last year, and now we are again in this situation. This is due to the high number off new cases in our country, so a lot of schools are having online classes now.

Her school is all in person this year. We already had her brother the 9 he’s told was our for 10 days because he was asymptotic and COVID positive there was at the end of September being of October. We already knew she probably doesn’t have covid because over there weekend we could tell she was starting to get cold thanks to her other brother the 6 year old. School rules are if you leave early and have more then 1 of the symptoms the is common for covid you have to have a negative test to go back. The nurse already assume she doesn’t have it.
So she is bored with me at home. While the other two are at school for 6 hours. Good thing her daddy is a nurse and she is patient at his office so he asked her doctor to write labs which she did.

@Luli_hope I can’t do it with three kids did they last year and two of them have learning disability so that’s better dealt with in school then at howl s they had no choices this test unless there is a medical condition where they can’t go in person. My 9 years old 4th grade class did so virtual for a week while him ans several other students had COVID. Too many people with trace contact.

@ShyBear88 we had some similar rules, with testing the kids who had simtoms. But meanwhile the situation got so ugly the decided for all to go online.
So he is home, making online school, with me and his 1 year old sister...at the end of the day we are al exhusted
