Is Rahman's Music on the decline? Of late Rahman’s quality of music has been on the decline. This is quite really evident on the music he has scored in Godfather (Varalaru). If you listen to that music, you will definitely feel that it was not his song. Even other songs did not catch up to the expectation. I am a die-hard fan of AR Rahman, but still I am feel sorry that he is losing sheen. Or am I wrong?

i'm a great fan of his music.........i could say he is the best but of lately he is not doing well...can't blame him....the music is still good but sometimes lyrics too affect music....if lyrics r'nt set right it damages the music.....this could be one of his faults....if he tries to do music for lyrics the music is a semi version of his talent

what i meant to say is if he is trying to adjust the music to tune to the lyrics his art get's damaged this could be one of the reason

I won't say that its on the decline. Since he had accepted more international offers he really don't have time to concentrate on few of his Tamil or Hindi projects. He could have avoided accepting small projects like "varalaru" for example. Again he is very reserved to say "NO" to his friends or well wishers so he is bound to accept lots of such offers. So lets stop complaining abt his "not so good" small projects.. He'll surely rock with his dream projects.

I think that the experiments that he is doin with the songs doesnt appeal to you or you have a different taste. thinking musically he is doin gr8 work now also. he is also comming up as a better singer. he is the god of music. i dont think one can judge his musical talent.
