I would recommend "adobo" (pork or chicken cooked in soy sauce and vinegar)., and "tinolang manok" (chicken sauted with chayote or papaya and pepper leaves). The first one is good when you want a somewhat dry meal, and the last one is great when you want to eat with a lot of broth. I also like "Paksiw" (dish cooked in vingear and ginger). There are many Filipino dishes I would like to recommend to anyone coming here. Oh I forgot, they should also try "balut", It's not found anywhere in the world. So if you happen to drop by our area, try these succulent dishes.

Dholl puri. This is like a pancake made with flour and split-pea and is cooked on a frying pan. It is then filled with bean curry and gravy

Not very exciting but Fish and chips with mushy peas. It's my favourite dish although I do like to eat dishes from other nationalities.

Lol I understand, our balut are often despised by others as they refer to it as rotten eggs. But fish and chips are my favorite foods too in restos.

@Jenaisle Some people think it is a bit boring but when I was young we would go to a fish and chip shop and eat them out of newspaper as we walked along the street.

Personally, I recommend pecan pie because it's savory and sweet with the pecan pie filling and the pecan pie crust. Also, I recommend trying chili but it can be spicy depending on the peppers that are used in it. Homemade chili allows you to choose what peppers go in it. Some peppers are less spicy than others and peppers are used in a variety of dishes. There are so many dishes in the United States of America that I prefer to recommend to people, so if you're in the U.S.A., please consider trying these dishes.
