I might try to get a booster shot tomorrow

I wasn't planning on getting it until I go to my doctor's appointment next month, but I am scheduled to work as an exit poller on election day. Since this is a mid term it won't be as busy as a Presidential election but our Gubernatorial election in VA is dead even, and I think the polls will be fairly busy, as a matter of fact, there are supposed to be two of us working, and that doesn't happen too often. Just with all the handling of the forms and the like, it would be a good idea to be more protected. I might see if I can get it at a pharmacy tomorrow.

I think in the future we will get Covid shots like we now get flu shots.

@snowy22315 Better to have the booster, as it seems that after 6 months the vaccine protection fades dramatically.

Yes, I had a terrible time deciding to vote for...There are things I like and dislike about both. Mostly dislike, I don't think either are very good candidates actually.

Thanks, I hope I can locate my shot card. I used to know right where it was but I moved it.

Glad you are performing your civic duties. That is selflessness on your part. Hope you got the booster to further protect you from the viral infection.

Yes, it would be good to have the booster. That would be true in general but especially if you're going to be in an indoor setting for several hours with a bunch of people.
It isn't the surfaces that will get you, though. It's the air.

Thanks, I just found my vaccine card, and checked with a group online that is on top of the shots. Hopefully they will give me a recommendation.

Yes, it is a good idea for you to go ahead and get your booster. There will be PEOPLE there. Even though I got my booster yesterday, that doesn't mean I'll just go any-ole-where without a mask or immerse myself in a sea of people.

I would see if you can consult your doctor, first. The more you put in your system, the higher the chance of side effects and you might not be able to work the polls.

Not worried about that at all. I had my shots in April, no issues whatsoever.

Thanks, it might not be too hard, as I take meds for HBP but we will see. A friend of mine had no issues getting a booster but she is older than I am.
