I am not sure if many mylotters know what is GangNam Style is, considering it's a big hit in Asia. It's a song that sang by Korean singer - PSY - in Korean language in 2012. But what make it interesting is his dance.
There's specific hand arrangement to dance this song. And this hand arrangement is so famous as Gangnam style hand. So famous that South Korean make this statue in front of their convention hall.
It will catch you right away, as it place in front of main gate to building.
I captured my self in front of this statue, just a symbol that I've been here, and knew what this statue is all about LOL.

Even you too, in SZ? LOL never thought of that. I always in my biz trips everytime in S. Korea, but they always insisted that I should extra one of two. So managed to travel to same tourist attraction too, and took many silly photos - a lot in my biz suit attire!

Yep, it was huge here in the United States, too. There are videos on YouTube of flash mobs gathering to do the dance for it in public right after it came out. 
Believe it or not, it's been cropping up all over the place in my YouTube recommendations for the last couple of weeks .

Gangnam Style was #2 on Billboard USA, which is one of the music capitals of the world, so it was very popular, second to the now most famous band in the world, BTS, who got #1 for more than 10 weeks.
What did you notice about your visit to South Korea? Aside from Psy, what are the monuments built for famous persons there?
Visiting South Korea is also in my bucket list for a BTS tour, and visit all the sites connected to them. Incidentally, V, a member of the band is a Psy fan.

I did not visit many "trend' statue there as on biz trips. I did go to Korean traditional village that use for shooting many drama/film about old time, to Nami Island (from winter sonata), to a mountain (could not recall the name), everland (like disneyland), and some other places. We ate also to many trend resto there including the one if the top of highest building in Seoul, Very expensive restaurant, but food not worth with the price. But unless it tourist area, I rarely visit, that happen cos in front convention hall that i must go :-D

Everybody loves the song when it first came out including me. Wow, that's a very nice photo with the hand gesture.
