How would you like to be remembered?

Two things to reflect upon about the Gospel of our Lord Jesus from Luke 6: 12-16
"12 Now it happened in those days that He went onto the mountain to pray; and He spent the whole night in prayer to God.
13 When day came He summoned His disciples and picked out twelve of them; He called them 'apostles':
14 Simon whom he called Peter, and his brother Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew,
15 Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Simon called the Zealot,
16 Judas son of James, and Judas Iscariot who became a traitor."
First, it is imperative that whenever we are to make a major decision in life, we must embark in prayer, not exactly in a mountain like our Lord, but could be in front of our mini altars in our own rooms. It is important to consult our God for a decision that could mean our lives.
Second, our names will be remembered by the actuations we make in the course of our lives. For example: Natividad Caraos, beloved mother; Benedict of Nursia, patron saint of Europe; Karol Jozef Wojtyla, Pope of the new millennium.
As was written in Isaiah: "I have called you by name, you are mine."
In the Gospel, there was one apostle who will forever be remembered as a traitor because he betrayed our Lord.
By what mark would you like your inscription be?

@Deepizzaguy I understand. In fact, as an afterthought, I did think my question was too personal. I wanted to delete it but I was out on an errand. I am sorry.
Nope, I don't think people will ever think of you as self-righteous. You are very honest with your responses. Dishonest people make mistakes. You are constant and never wavered. You are genuine and true.
Self-righteous people sounds arrogant and opinionated.

@eileenleyva I do not want to share information with someone with sounding like I am self righteous or arrogant.

@Yadah04 You mean you pray for everything you do, whether the matter to decide upon is big or small. That is good.

I believe that completely. Our God has also granted many of my petitions that I need to thank Him every moment of my life for loving me very much. He knows that I am not as strong and thus spared me many troubles and heartaches.

With the Lord God in mind, I need no glory on my epitaph.
I can only hope that I have been a decent Mother. And of some sort of service to others.

That is thought provoking. Our Lord left no epitaph also.
True, being a mother and being of a person for others says it all.
Kudos to you!

Yes, it is good to remember to pray, and so connect ourselves to a greater power than just ourselves.
I would like them to say about me, that,
"He lived his life by love, for God."

Life without prayer is not life at all.
