It's surprisingly easy to miss a typo when you are reading through discussions or comments because we read what we meant to write rather than what we actually wrote.
I am continually finding mistakes that I did not notice at the time and thank god we can edit them at any time here. I remember on one site I was on we only had 15 minutes to change a mistake and then it was there forever. It used to offend my eyes!

@LadyDuck We all make typos sometimes. If I'm not wearing my best glasses I cant see what I'm typing!

@Nawsheen I trained as a typist years ago and got a job as a secretary. I didn't realise how useful it would be for the internet many years later.

That's what I do and it makes me cringe although I don't suppose anyone else cares as we all do it.

@sprite1950 In the past, maybe anything that has been written cannot be erased by ourselves.

Oh dear! Sometimes if I am not sure how to spell a word I will use a different one.

I will notice them only after my posts or comments are published. I correct them even though those mistakes have been read by users.

It depends on what the mistake was whether I bother to fix it or not. If it's in something I'll read a lot, then I have to fix it. If I won't see it again, then I don't worry about it.

Sometimes I can't believe the mistakes I make. One time I put here instead of hear and I couldn't believe I had done it as I know the difference.

@sprite1950 I see that happen all the time. I just smile and go on.
There are a couple of people who claim to be writers/authors here and I get the giggles reading some stuff they post... (One person who claims to be an author posted a link a few days ago asking for people to review it... I suggested they hire an editor before they publish their work. )

Thank goodness for the editing feature! It drives me crazy when I make mistakes in my posts and comments. It happens to me frequently when I'm myLotting from my mobile phone. You wouldn't believe how many times I have to go in and edit.

I never MyLot from my phone as I have fingers like a bunch of bananas! I always do it from my desktop. It's quicker and easier.

@sprite1950 Trust me, I have to edit just about every single comment I write on my phone before submitting. I have big fingers, so it's not easy using my phone to comment.
