The steroid cream is working

I went to the doctor a week ago about the rash on and numbness/tingling I've had with my feet for the past several months. The nurse practitioner diagnosed me with ezcema and peripheral neuropathy. She prescribed a corticosteroid cream for the itchy, red, and leathery patches on my feet, behind my knees, and in the folds of my elbows and changed my antidepressant to one that also works to relieve nerve pain.
The neuropathy is better but not even close to being gone. I am happy to report that the patches of ezcema are greatly improved. They aren't itchy any longer so I no longer feel the need to scratch scratch scratch. They aren't red and are faded back almost to my normal skin color. You can still see that the area is thickened/leathery but I'm sure that will go away in another week or two.
I'm just so happy that the itchiness is gone. There is nothing worse than wearing a pair of khakis that are tight on the legs and feeling the need to scratch behind your knees!

I found out a few months back that I have eczema on my eyebrows and near my mouth which is worse in winter. I was told to but cortisone cream over the counter which helped a lot but lately I keep forgetting to our it on again before bed.
It's good that yours is doing so well now.
