Isn't a huge huge population a problem?

The population of India doubled before my eyes. As a boy I didn't see such crowds anywhere.
Now as an adult I see crowds everywhere. Crowds in markets, crowds in trains and buses, people jostling for a place, people competing for admission s in schools and colleges... People need more food, more houses, more hospitals, more of everything .. People are ready to cheat and rob for their needs .
I saw a serious effort to control the population by the government many years ago . Since then no one even speaks about it.

You do have to wonder what the eventual outcome will be. Luckily our country hasn't quite got to a similar state yet but no doubt it will eventually.

You're not wrong. Population control can be a bit of a problem. However, trying to control it is worse.

I think you're right, the government needs to get involved. Not just in India.
