What a turbulent time we are having around the world?! Seems like there is no end to this pandemic, asymptomatic, Delta, MU and the list goes on. I have really been "away" for a considerable time and I do admit it felt mixed coming back not knowing if friends here are still around or not. So far it is really comforting that most are around literally and though there are some sad announcements here and there. But for those that are around - stay safe and alive and for those that have departed my deepest sympathies. Yes life took a change here but all is good and thank God - we count our blessings. So much have taken place and really to be back here again, it's just simply awesome.

I am from Mainland China. What about you? Seems like your country is pretty much under control there.

@Janet357 I wouldn't say "beyond control" but there again who wouldn't be out of control when it started. I feel it is up to everyone to listen and follow the protocols needed to get under control and survive this outbreak.

Nice to see you ! How are you doing ? We should say our CDC at different levels make a good job of keeping the virus in check .

Greetings fellow comrade, nice to see you too. I am great and how about you? So glad to see your post here. I agree that our CDC is doing a good job and I hope there will be an end to this situation soon. It is worrying as the northern side of China is entering winter with 44 cities being hit with local transmission of the virus.

I am glad to see you and your family stay well. I really feel life is more boring after the pandemic. We have not had a travel after the pandemic. Actually we haven't been even out of our city after that The cost can be so huge once there is a Covid-19 case found. Since you are also from China, you will understand it.

@artemeis I think the place is not so important. It seems it depends on whether you are lucky or not. If you are unlucky to go to a place which there is Covid-19 case, then the cost can be so huge.

Perfectly. The cost of the airline tickets have shot up many folds and at an alarming increase rate. Actually, you should think about visiting close by attractions or obscure ones where tourism is at its beginning stages. The family had visited a number of close by attractions like the Hot Springs in Hebei, the countrysides of MiYun in Beijing and so on. Driving together taking breaks along the way are quite enjoyable and fun. In addition, not very crowded.
