Brought Leaves In For The Dude

Today has been a beautiful day, filled with sunshine. I walked around in the yard for awhile. Crunch crunch is the sound of the leaves. They are starting to fall. That time of the year. Funny, Brendel could care less about the leaves. But the Dude enjoys playing with them. I brought a few into the screen room for him to play with. He seems to like the noise they make. In a few minutes he will be over it, and I will have a little mess to clean up. The things we do for our babies. Photo is mine.

Both of my cats are declawed in the front. They were like this when I rescued them, so they have to stay indoors. But they are not lacking for anything.

@RubyHawk They are fine. This probably happened as a baby. They even scratch on the cat trees.

Nico loves leaves from outside, and consumes them. You see him playing with something..and think what is that? Crunch, crunch. He is eating a brown leaf.

@CarolDM once a few years ago Daisy got a bad upset stomach. The only thing we could think of was one of the leaves was from a tree that made her sick. I'm very careful now when she comes out on the balcony.

It was sunny here today, but brisk. I ordered a new house for Mr Hissy and it arrived today. A bit bigger than I was expecting, but it maybe just the box size. I shall be putting it up tomorrow

@CarolDM It has a mezzanine bedroom! I, love it but it is basically just a shelf. Once it is assembled, I shall have to put up a picture. It has a cat flap, so I am hoping that I can convince him to use it

He is such a handsome fella. I wonder what mine would do with those leaves, my trees are still fairly green and the yellow leaves are still hanging on. I hope I'll remember to bring in the mulberry leaves when they finally fall but the mulberry is still very green for now.

A lovely photo of your cat. It has been rainy here in Virginia. It is also cold, so it has been raining and cold. It feels like winter to be honest with you. My cat recently passed away. We still have two cats though.

Kitty is sleeping on my balcony right now. Occasionally we "bat" each other (thank goodness for retractable claws), but we don't "play" as much as I would like.
