Good morning everyone. It's really early here at 2:16 am. I went to bed around 10 pm and when I woke up I couldn't go back to sleep. So, instead of tossing and turning I decided to just get up and mylot.
So much has happened since I was a regular here. First I lost my sweet, precious Bella in January of 2020. Then my brother passed away in August of 2020. It wasn't long after when Daisy had some health issues. I went back and forth with her to the vet trying to keep her from having surgery. But in the end, she had to have surgery on her back. She has healed really well and only has slight weakness in her back legs.
About 4 or 5 months after Daisys surgery, I had my own situation pop up. I woke up with the worst pain I've ever had. It was in my lower right side so I knew it was my appendix. I couldn't stand up when walking. Since my brother died, I don't have any friends or family here. I'm all alone. So, I had to call an ambulance. This was a first for me and I was scared but the paramedics were super nice.
Once I had surgery, I ended up staying in the hospital for 10 days instead of overnight. I had a few small issues with my heart and I also got an infection. My appendix had ruptured so an infection wasn't unusual.
Then, a month later I had to go on a heavy round of antibiotics because the infection didn't go completely away. Since then, I have lost an Uncle and close cousin to covid.
I know I'm not the only person that things happen to. I just wanted to try and let everyone know what's been happening.
**Photo above is of Bella.

@simone10 I have read about Daisy, poor baby, I am sure she thought you had abandoned her.
The cat of my neighbors thought the same when they left for one week holiday. I noticed how desperate the kitty was, and I let him come inside to play with me.

@DocAndersen For me, the older I get the longer it takes me to recuperate.

Bella looks happy despite all she has gone through and you my friend are a brave lady.
What a long few years it has been for you.
So glad you are back.
I too have had many losses these last few years, I understand.
You are not alone with us, but I also understand that..I have my son but other than that, it is all on me.

Thank you for the update. I'm sorry that things have not been going well for you; and I'm sorry about your Uncle, cousin and Bella. Stay strong and know that we are here for you.
