Weird Virginia Weather

I was born and raised in Wisconsin where every year we have the 4 normal seasons of spring, summer, fall and winter. I moved to Virginia 4 years ago and they have the weirdest weather. Honestly it's either summer or winter. Just 3 days ago I took this picture and it was in the 60's for like a week.
This morning I walk out to the car and it was 28 degrees out and the weather forcasts say it's just get colder after today. It went from being in the 80's less than a month ago to the 60's for three days and now it's winter. Same thing when it comes to spring.
The one thing that always makes me laugh is how people dress like they live in Antartica when it's like 40 degrees during the day and they freak out cuz I just wear long sleeves. The only time I wear a coat in winter here is if it drops below freezing.
I'm glad I got tiny taste of fall when I took the pic I posted. I just can't get used to not having all 4 seasons.

@WomanWarrior1969 Thank you, I am Italian, we moved to Switzerland in 2006. We were both born in Milan and we always loved this part of the south of Switzerland.

Thanks for liking my pick. I was stationed in Germany while in the Army so I've been to Austria and Switzerland and it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.

I live in Virginia, and I agree it is very changeable. Most of the time it is too warm or hot though which I don't enjoy.

I agree about it being way too hot and humid. If it's cold you can dress in layers to warm up. If it's too hot you can't take anything off to cool down. Where are you in Virginia. I went from Norfolk to Richmond and now I'm in Verona and planning to move to Lynchburg

@WomanWarrior1969 Central, hoping to move to Harrisonburg though. Most of the time I have been NOVA. I think the weather there In Hburg will be a bit more to my liking..but not making much progress in getting the move underway. Not alot of suitable options there really..I don't want to rent.

I can't take the heat and humidity. At least if you're cold you can add more layers of clothes and you can't take everything off if it's too hot..lol

@WomanWarrior1969 Lol. Some winters, it definitely feels like winters are long and we might as well be in the tundra.

Yep that is Virginia weather and strangely enough I recognize this area of this photo. Yes one year we had the Snowmegtin, then Sprinter. This is just right here these last few weeks is pretty tame Virginia weather. So far we have had a pretty dry fall which means either we are going to get hit hard with snow this year or none at all.

@WomanWarrior1969 after living here since my teen years it’s easy to tell what winter will be like. Most people that have been here there whole life will tell you the more wet it is during the October, November and December the less harsher the winter months are. This yes tap far hurricane season hasn’t been that bad

It's so hard to get used to because our fall isn't like long enough to tell if we have no snow or a lot of snow. Up north it was just a given we new we'd get lots of snow and temps way below zero and we could get prepared.

At least in Wisconsin you know for sure winters gonna be brutal and you can get prepared. Here you never know cuz every day can be totally different than the one before

Maybe it's just an East Coast thing..lol. I can roll with it too, but I really like fall and spring so sometimes I get a little homesick. Thanks for the compliment on my pic

Not as long as Wisconsin and it hardly even snows. If they get a light dusting of snow that doesn't even cover the grass they freak out. All the schools are closed and stuff like that it's crazy. Last January we got like 3 inches and people had off of work schools and churches were closed. And starting in early March we're usually up in the 50's or 60's for a few days and then it's in the 80's shortly after that

I don't think they're bad at all very little snow and doesn't really get to be like 20 below zero like Wisconsin. It's just you never know what's gonna happen here.
