It takes more than strong arms to mix up a batch of peanut butter cooky dough. It takes leg action, too. Sonny James kitty noticed me heading to the fridge for eggs. He barged in and demanded a snack. He sits up, hits me with his paw and generally refuses to quit pestering until I make him some more kitty dinner. I'm sorry to say that Sonny James is starting to look and act his age- twelve to thirteen years old. I did my best to step around and over him as he chomped on his meal.

It's always about the food when they get older. Mom's kitty is always begging for food even when she has food in her bowl.

@rebelann I am a worry wart. Sonny J mostly eats canned glop now. Otherwise he mostly refuses hard cat food- unless I put in nutritional yeast and water on the kibble.

Maybe it's his teeth, both mine are over 15 years old and eat kibble without a problem.

@rebelann I am past sick of spending money on Vets. I think about a year ago I had Sonny to the Vet. Vet found a growth in his mouth somewhere but said it did not appear to bother Sonny. Not sure how the Vet knew that?? So it could be that issue.

My cats act the same way when they see me getting ready to feed the cats in the morning. They see me as their savior.

Why don't you use a mixer? My mom usually uses it to help her knead heavy dough, it also saves time

@ardeliaputri2 Good question. I guess I never got in the habit of using machines. I'm past 60 years old and I've never used a mixer to make anything in the kitchen. I have never used a bread machine either. I make cookies every month or so and I make yeast breads almost every week. By hand. I do use a blender and our electric juicer cranks out peanut butter.

Well, if you're making treats for the humans, it only stands to reason that kitty deserves a treat as well. Actually, if you are in the kitchen for any reason, kitty deserves a treat. No, wait... If you are even slightly awake, kitty deserves a treat.
