Aquaphobia

Now this is something I have been trying to get over, but funny enough, there seems to be no progress.
When am faced with a large body of water or even a shallow swimming pool, I tend to get more dizzy just by looking at that large volume of water.
I don't know if its because of past experiences, whereby people I know have drowned or just anxiety.
Is it bad for me? I keep wondering

It does seem so vast and unfathomable. I wouldn't call it fear exactly in my case.

Maybe you fear drowning. Swimming is an awesome sport though; just saying. I have a fear of heights. The higher I go, the more freaked out it feels like.

I avoid deep water. I can't swim.

I think it's very natural for someone to have a fear (phobia), maybe because of childhood trauma or other things that make us even more afraid when faced with it, I've also been forced to get rid of my phobia, I have trypophobia, just imagining it makes me dizzy and itchy especially if I look directly at it, I get goosebumps when I imagine things that are speckled or scaly, even while writing this I already have goosebumps and itching, I've tried to see it over and over again, I did feel nervous at first, I've lost my fear , but a few days later it reappeared, I gave up on getting rid of my phobia
