I heard about the study from Seth Meyers' late-night show, and (as I do with ALL the news I get from late night comedians) I did a little searching to confirm it. https://www.ecosia.org/search?q=study%20on%20eating%20breakfast%20before%208:30%20to%20avoid%20diabetes
But the only info I got on 'what time they wake up' was a doctor who usually suggests that his patients eat breakfast within two hours of waking (so he felt that the study was in line with common wisdom).

I eat breakfast about an hour after my first coffee. I´m 76 and so far I don´t have diabetes.
