Crushing it

This afternoon, our boy has been crushing it. Oh, wait... That's not quite right. I mean, he's been crushing me.
He has decided, apparently, that he wants to lie on my shoulders. That works. What doesn't work, though, is when he decides to walk across my stomach, ribs, etc. to get from one side to the other. Leap over or walk on my legs, cat. Please... I think that I have a few new bruises due to how affectionate he's been.
Do your cats sometimes get a bit injurious in their love for you?

I haven't gotten body slammed by the boy in a few days. Maybe, we've moved past that chapter?

@sallypup That sounds about right.
The fuzzy kids have now generously entered a chapter in which they get into wrestling matches (the boy wants to play, but the girl isn't really amenable), and I about get taken out in the process. They've managed to land on me twice so far today. Both looked rather unclear as to why I objected to the treatment.

@wilsongoddard Sonny J. often insists he sleep by me at night. To do that, he jumps up onto the bed and I happen to be right in his path.

Nico loves to do that kneading thing when I have pajamas on that don't have that much protection from his sharp little claws. I have little pin pricks on me. I need to remember to have a blanket on me when he starts that.

Oh, yes. That is one of the things the girl likes to do.

Yes. Mama cat has taken to lying across my leg. She can't distribute her weight evenly, so I tend to lose feeling in that leg.

You are lucky that she goes for the leg. Both of ours seem to want to permanently damage my ribs. Oww...

Unfortunately, I'm really feeling it today. Even though I kept trying to keep him off my ribs and stomach, he did manage to get them fairly badly. I think that my bruises have bruises...

@JudyEv He doesn't yet understand that you can't treat Mommy like another cat. Actually, he is still being taught by his sister how to treat other cats.

Aww, that is so sweet. That is a rather unusual name for a kitty. Is there a story to it?

@wilsongoddard My nephew and my sister came up with the name since the previous names like Tuxedo Jones and Sylvesterette did not sound right. My nephew came with the name and we liked it.
