RESPECT, it looks like, the value has been forgotten

When I was a child, my Grandparents always remind me to give respect to every people. Irregardless of their age, everyone must be respected. However, as I grew-up, I notice that others don't really do this. And I was wondering why there are people who ignore to give respect. Honestly, for me, respect begets respect, why others don't knew that...

Not really everyone gives respect. Its just, some don't observed it anymore. That is why, I do admire people who give respect irregardless to the person's age.

I agree with you. But I guess as technology improves, sincerity gets washed down easily too. The best I would advice is to take the high road with disrespectfulness. We can't please everyone, can we?

Well, pleasing everyone is indeed difficult. Even you are doing or giving out your best. And, I guess, technology's improvement has somehow influence people's attitude too.

@jiangjuno I cannot go to a sports event without someone displaying a bad attitude just because I disagree with their viewpoint.

I wonder as we grow older we become more aware of some who do not show respect. As a kid I didn't think of it much, but as an adult you definitely notice it. I think lack of maturity goes with being disrespectful. I've definitely noticed a lack of tolerance and disrespectful attitude for differing opinions. It is a very disturbing trend

My parents taught us respect, I did the same to my children and it shows. They are very respectful of others.
