I hate sleeping at my desk!

This afternoon I've been sitting at my desk and nodding off every few minutes. I hate that! It basically means an afternoon wasted as far as getting any work done. And it's not like it's a restful sleep.
Part of my problem is that this seems to be the way my body clock works. Afternoons are always tough for me. Plus, this morning I got up early (well, early for me) because I couldn't get back to sleep.
Wouldn't it be great if we could go to sleep and wake up whenever we want, instead of when our body makes us do it?

Have some coffee or strong hot tea in the afternoon, that should perk you up.
My ex husband always ate a Snickers at his desk every afternoon. He claimed it kept him energized. Over the years he must have eaten thousands of Snickers!

I sip on about half a cup of decaf during the day--I'm sure that doesn't do anything to keep me awake. And if there's anything I don't need to eat more of, it's candy bars!

No one needs candy bars, I understand that. I never buy them, because if I do, I eat them. Try real coffee, that decaf stuff isn't so good!

I'm a coffee sipper, not drinker--and it's decaf at that.

Training our bodies is possible, I just try not to do it.

The problem is, by the time you realize you're falling asleep, you're waking up after having been asleep.

I hate it when I am reading something good and then get drowsy.
