City life can be 'toxic' at times with many people, pollution and buildings or structures in almost vacant lot. In the province, I could relax simply by going to the river, or hiking in the mountains. The air is clean and you can enjoy nature. What about you? Do prefer living in the city or in the province? Why?

I live in a town that's between a large city and a large town. My town is small enough that you could walk the length of it in less than 2 hours. However, it's considered a large town by population. Anyway, my town is quite boring but I prefer it to the city. I think I'd hate to live in a city. Wherever I go on holiday or day trips, I'll avoid most cities unless there's a particular reason for visiting them. I'd much prefer to be nearer the countryside or beside a beach.

We're pretty much the same. If I had a choice, I would rather stay in the outskirts of the city. The beach and the countryside are great places to be.

@Jenaisle a good thing about my town is that it's far enough from the city to be quiet but near enough for easy access to that city as well as England's 'second city' and transport links everywhere else as we're right in the middle. What I don't like is that we're right in the middle Of course, there are the advantages but I'd prefer to he nearer the sea.

@pumpkinjam I see, so you can have the best of both worlds. That's great, The sea can also be good for people recuperating from conditions.

I live in what is called here a "bedroom" community. It is 65 km from the bigger city where many of the people who live here work. My city has only 7,000 people in it. I grew up out in the country, 10 km from the city I now live in. Each has drawbacks and pluses... If I had the money, I'd rather live in the country again.

I see, 7,000 people is indeed a small community. Eventually, you will come to know everyone. and strangers could easily be identified.

@Jenaisle No, not really... People are always leaving and new ones moving in so I still don't know most people here.

I live in the middle of nowhere. Very rural. Have for all but one year of my life. I hated being in town.

Yes, when you get used to rural life, you would indeed hate the urban areas.

I prefer provincial life but I am not sure I can stay there for long as I have been born and raise in the city

Me too, but I have no choice. Being raised in the city may make it difficult to stay in the boondocks.

The city life is stressful, but convenient with buses running often here. I want to visit the country more.

I prefer a place to live in a big city. But sometimes I want to go to the village, to enjoy the natural beauty that is there, to relax and calm the mind.

That's what many city people do, sometimes, they even have vacation houses in the villages.

@Jenaisle Yes like that. The problem is that if our job, or our office is in the city, it's a shame to leave it. Because we live from the results of working in the office. Later after retiring from work, then moving to the village.

Both urban area and rural area have its own advantages and disadvantages. If you live in rural area then you will have much better environment which is good for your health and if you live in urban area then there you will get better facilities which will made your life much easy. So it all depends on your preference. If you ask me then I will prefer small towns which will have mix of both urban and rural.

Cavite is in between, so you can be free from the hustle-bustle of the metropolitan city life.
