Life can be as much of an adventure as you let it be.

I'm still recovering from the shock yesterday...it was a big one to say the least. A friend and I went to the neighboring town and she insisted on going to the western store there, she wanted to show me the boots and how much they were selling for. WOW!!! Needless to say new western boots aren't cheap!! They start at $99 and work their way up to $500!! If I could wear them I would be saving up for a couple pair, but with the extent of my back and neck injuries they are definitely off the can't wear list....like high heels. Never could wear those either, it would be like putting a cow in ice skates and turning it loose in an ice rink. I never could handle the darned things-I just ain't coordinated. Anyhow we did some look see shopping at some of the other stuff and I turned and the back of one of the men in the store looked just like my Bill. Blue and white checked shirt, blue jeans, black leather tennis shoes, grey hair, glasses....I started for him to hug him and kiss him and ask where he had been. It took every ounce of "won't" in me to keep from grabbing the man. It's been over a year and yes I still miss him terribly. We went into Wal Mart and I went to the area I wanted after checking their crappy selection of tee shirts. There was a clerk reading the riot act to a customer about a question she had asked, telling her how stupid it was. The customer was in tears. I couldn't stand it and stepped in and told the clerk that there were no stupid questions just stupid people who thought that they were better than everyone else answering them. I then proceeded to tell the clerk that there was another product that does exactly what the customer wants and it was with the cleaning supplies. About then a supervisor came up and wanted to know what was going on. I told the supervisor and told her that the clerk had reduced the customer to tears....Wonder if that clerk still has a job? We got home to the apartment complex and the supervisor was posting a new rule. I looked at it and asked the supervisor two questions that left her baffled. The first question was when do they put bars on the windows and the second was when did the apartments quit being our homes? She looked at me funny and didn't answer. We're not allowed to decorate the outside of the apartment except for a wreath, anything else will be removed. She has been in her office for about 5 months and she has made some pretty unbeliveable rules. Well, it's Monday and I have an appointment to get my knee x-rayed. I was supposed to get an MRI of the whole body from the head down. But I guess they decided that they didn't want me to glow in the dark. As my friend says, I'm full of enough hell. I flirt with the guys, I help people even when they don't want help, I do the unexpected...I don't need to glow in the dark when the lights go off. Well about the time I thought the day couldn't get any more odd, I got a call from my apartment supervisor wanting to come visit. Not an official visit, just one to clear up some paper work that I messed up. I do a good job of doing that, I don't even have to try hard. We got that cleared up quickly today (Tuesday) and I sent some teddy bears I had made with her for some families that wouldn't have much of a Christmas. She thought that was cooler than sliced bread. Most low income people wouldn't think to donate something, even if it isn't too expensive. Heaven forbid if it is something that they make...like jointed teddy bears. It felt real good to make the donation. Well I need to take a little walk. The television is boring, and I just don't feel like sitting around right now. It's a beautiful sunny day outside and I need to send off a letter so why not go ahead and take a walk? After my walk I'll either come back to the lot and bore you some more or list another item on Craig's list. So, so long for now.

Glad you were in the store at the right time. Hopefully that person was fired. Some people let power go to their heads. Sounds like your apartment supervisor is one of those. Hope your walk was good

If it is not in a park I do no like taking a walk unless I have a destination. I hate wandering the streets.

That is what the problem is for me and my friends, We live in two apartments in a house and we rent them, Alsmot had lost my home when the owner said she would sell and then turned around and said we could stay after I had had my anxiety up to a dangerous level and I am just starting to feel better now but it sure took a long time, I hope it all works out for you too, I was thinking about what you said about Bill and if I ever saw anyone who resembled my late husband I would definitely have to get to see him from the front just to be sure I am not seeing things,

Well, hi! I love your spirit. Make those jerks sit up and knock it off. You take care. I am glad that you are in an apartment.

That's one of the main reasons my husband and I decided to buy. Not only are you paying for permission to live in someone else's home, basically, it's not really yours. Some people like to make sure this message is loud and clear. Glad you got the paper work sorted out at least.
