People say it is all about love.
Then why give so much importance to trivial things?
Read any matrimonial ad in the papers or browse matrimonial website.
Whether it is bride or groom, they write about their religion and caste, their skin colour, profession, educational qualification , height .
Not enough if you are a Christian. You have to tell whether you are catholic or some other denomination.
Not enough if you are Hindu. You have to tell whether you are shivalli, brahmin, bunt, kshatriya etc etc...

I never did a marriage announcement it’s not that common here in the US unless you got a lot of money. Many people do add what age, what religion, and so on in there it’s mot important in a marriage at all.
My husband is white, I’m half white and half Hispanic, he is baptized and I’m a catholic. Neither of us practice religion also I grew up in a biracial house so for this is seems supper normal. We must be doing something write since we have been married for almost 12 year and we did a court wedding because I honestly his family side wanted traditional and we didn’t so we just drove and did our own thing.
