What’s Happening at Your House

I had a long beautiful walk this morning. Lots of pretty yellow leaves but no red ones.It was warm enough to set on my deck to read and communicate on Mylot.
My son and daughter in law are well on the road to recovery. Both are feeling much better, so they tell me. I was worried they had covid but they assured me it was flu. They had no breathing problems.
Leo’s daughter called and said she would come for a visit this weekend. She teaches in middle school and says the paper work is overwhelming. She did nothing but paper work all of last weekend.
I hope all of you had a pleasant day. Hope you sleep well tonight.

Your photo is lovely, such beautiful scenery for a nice walk:) I'm glad your son&his wife are feeling better! My daughter-in-law is a school teacher and Kris's paperwork is terrible at this time! Their job follows them home

@RubyHawk When I was in school, we even had to ask to use the bathroom or sharper a pencil. It was as quiet as a church! If a child misbehaved, they got spanked on the butt:)

@kobesbuddy That’s exactly the way it used to be. But it’s different now.

Yellow leaves are still nice to see....guess it means fall is on the way out and winter is heading in?! That is good they are recovering. Hope the visit will be a nice one.

@RubyHawk Well, I don't want to do that anymore....each year the winter is harder to handle.but that is good if you can deal with it

We (meaning mostly me) are in the early stages of packing up our one-bedroom apartment. We have a little while before we move, but it isn't too early to get things in the beginnings of order.

@RubyHawk In a few weeks, we are moving. Between the horrible neighbors in this building and the problems of this city (noise, crime, etc.), we need to relocate.
The new place will have more room than our tiny one-bedroom here in the city. I'm fairly certain that our cats will be happy about that. The girl will be glad to not have her brother up in her face so much; they were just arguing a bit ago, because he wanted to play and she wanted to chill. She's nearly a decade older than him, so she's a lot more mature.

@RubyHawk It will still be an apartment, but it will give us a bit more room to stretch out. This space, even in better circumstances, would be a bit tight quarters for the four of us. The male cat has more energy than a tiny apartment can handle, and the husband and I have more books (and a desire for even more) than can easily be fit into this space.

@wilsongoddard I can understood why you are ready to move. I’m lucky to have good neighbors . And I’m near shopping. Are you moving to a another’ apartment.

All those yellow leaves are so pretty, It's a beautiful time of year when the leaves all change color.
Glad to hear that your son and daughter in law are feeling better. It's scary with so much Covid around but even the flu is hard enough to deal with these days.
Hope you have a nice visit this weekend with Leo's daughter.

@marilynda I aggravated my son until he went to get tested today. He was negative. Thank goodness for that.

It's good to know you're good and your family not affected with Covid. Flu is usual at this time of the year. We're busy at work since it's almost year-end. We're also busy at home fixing the Christmas decorations and the regular cleaning.

I am never really sure what is going on here, I seem to be always at work, or sleep. Flu can be pretty miserable, too.

Our weather over the last week has been absolutely gorgeous. I've been spending as much time outdoors as I can while the weather is this nice, although I haven't really done anything special or in particular.
