Or so it was described online. This is a special one due to the eclipse that is supposed to start around 11:30 pm around here. I took this shot this evening at 6:35pm and boy was it a bright one. K, I'm going to try to stay up long enough to see at least some of this eclipse but from what I've read I'd need to be awake around 2am to actually see anything ..... I'm wondering if I can stay awake that long, hmmmmmmmmmm............. I love otters, they're so cute ..... as long as they don't try to bite ya.

So did you get to see the eclipse? We mostly nod off to sleep too.

I was just outside but it doesn't show much yet, I think I might get better results if I can stay awake until about 2am ............. cheeze, I haven't tried to do that in a long time, I think I need another cup of coffee

@rebelann I loved the otters too. They are really cute little things. Hope you manage to stay up to see the eclipse.

There is too much light pollution here to enjoy the night skies. Obviously, it doesn't obscure the moon, but it does diminish it. As for stars, Polaris is the only one visible.

@rebelann I hope that your area doesn't get all built up. I think that it likely has a long way to go before it reaches the level of this city, though.

They've been building non stop for the past 5 years, I doubt it'll stay rural for too much longer.

You know more about the stars than I do, I'll have to read about polaris. It's going to get that way here pretty soon, nothing stays the same for long.

I was lucky that it wasn't too dark yet. Boy was that moon bright when it did get dark. Otters seem to be so comical most of the time.

Bummer. Hey maybe if you're up early the skies there will have cleared enough for you to see at least some of it.
