My "Sweet" Post For Today

Happy Friday Everyone!! it's a sunny but cold morning here. Yesterdays warm temperatures was the last warmish day until spring I'm assuming. The blue sky is loaded with those huge white puffy clouds that remind me of cotton candy. Cotton candy reminds me of the boardwalk at the Jersey shore and the Jersey shore reminds me of the beach and summer. It's easy to escape into good memories and forget it's cold outside.
Since it's getting cold now I like to enjoy a cappuccino in the afternoons. So I ordered a box of French Vanilla and another Twinkie flavored ones (K cups). I like sweet and the Twinkie flavor does have that Hostess Twinkie taste. I also wanted to get the Snow Ball flavor but it wasn't available. When it comes to Hostess cakes Snow Balls are my favorite. Getting to enjoy these treats as a warm drink is a good alternative to all the calories of the real thing.
I don't know where I got my sweet tooth from but I've always loved sweet things. My son is the only one who inherited my love of sweets. All the other kids are salty eaters.
The only thing I don't like sweet is my coffee. I drink it black (no milk or sugar).
Guess I'm weird

I guess I like both sweet and salty too not that I think of it. I like pretzels and nuts but I tend to lean toward desserts and love cake, brownies and ice cream.

I wouldn't count on it being the last warm day, with this crazy climate change stuff...anything could happen. One Christmas here I had the ceiling fan on. We get warm days in December on a fairly regular basis. Not sure I would be into those Kcup flavors, but I might try them. Not too big on sweet coffees, but I do like some of the flavors. I have some caramel macchiato out there now.

I like the Kcups for cappuccinos and they have such a wide variety of flavors to choose from. Caramel Macchiato is a good one

Maybe I got my sweet tooth from my grandmother. I remember how much I loved going with her to the bakery

I try to stay away from too many sweets but I do like something sweet for dessert while watching tv at night. I've gotten away from snacking in the afternoon.

@CarolDM I've cut way back on my sweets and now have single portion stuff in the house. So far it's working and I don't overindulge.

I like sweets, but I often prefer savory foods. If I had to choose between spanakopita or a cupcake, I would likely choose the spanakopita.

Well, I don’t drink coffee at all, so I’m weirder. (Just saving more coffee for you by not consuming it myself.)
I have to find a long way home because the ‘short route’ is blocked off for a police investigation. Then I’ll be home for the day, and tonight I’ll enjoy a big cup of hot chocolate!

@Marilynda1225 — by the time I finished lunch they had the interstate reopened. But I went the long way just to be sure.

Hope you got home ok and enjoyed your hot chocolate. I do enjoy hot chocolate occasionally and my favorite was from Dunkin when they had their white hot chocolate but it was very very sweet.
I really appreciate your not drinking coffee and saving more for me

Isn't a cappuccino coffee? I thought it was.
Cold here. I have no trouble imagining Christmas decorations, fudge, lots of snow, and all things winter to entice my imagination and bring a smile to my face.
I'm glad you can escape to summer through your memories.
My favorite Hostess sweet is the chocolate cupcakes. They're my downfall. It's good I don't go near the bakery aisle.

Yes cappuccino is coffee but I don't really put it in the same category as my freshly brewed coffee every morning which is hot and black. Cappuccino to me is more of a treat/dessert type of drink.
The holidays are my favorite time of year. I love everything about it even snow if it doesn't interfere with my family traveling to be together.
Those Hostess chocolate cupcakes are really good. I try to stay away from that bakery aisle too.

I haven't tried those flavors of cappuccinos before. I always get a mocha one when I drink one. I like a little milk in my coffee, which I drink throughout the day.
I think you are right, our warm weather has come to an end for 2021. It is a beautiful, though windy day here.

Mocha is a good flavor too.
I make a pot of coffee in the morning and have my mug and refill it a few times depending on how much of a jolt I need to get the day started

I am a salt eater, not good for the blood pressure though. My fiance is a sweet eater. He loves his sweeties I could do without though.

I'm always trying to watch my salt for my BP too. Some days it's easier than others. Then again I have to watch my sweets as I don't want to have my blood sugar go up and have to worry about that.

I used to be more like that in my younger days. I'd pass up a meal for dessert. But now I'd rather have the meal and a little dessert while watching tv at night.

I don't drink much tea but occasionally I get on a green tea kick. My latest tea favorite is vanilla caramel and I think Bigelow makes me.

Hahahaha that's a good possibility Judy. I think I'm more like that too even though I tend to go for sweet desserts and ice cream but I like food in general.
