can fireworks kill chickens?

Philippines

We have some really naughty kids here that just throw fireworks near our house and I am quite worried for our chickens. It has been going on for 2 or 3 days. We had 3 chickens die (I think because of sour crop) but I am not sure if the fireworks are related.

Chickens will sometimes eat small fireworks, thinking they are bugs. If the fireworks explode inside the chicken, then yes, it will die.

Fortunately that was not the case.

@stanley777 Oh, good. I'm glad. I didn't want to think kids were deliberately feeding lit fireworks to chickens.

Animals can be stressed. It could be that fireworks make your chicken be stressed.

It can happen. Back in Jan 2021, many birds were killed due to fireworks in Italy. So, yes fireworks can be dangerous

@Nawsheen yes to that. We could lessen air pollution too.
